I’ll be teaching the updated 10th edition Prehospital Trauma Life Support curriculum with EMSPlumbline at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry on April 15&16. PHTLS has undergone a major revision update and I’m very pleased to present the new material. The most significant change is the adoption of the “XABC” treatment algorithm, replacing the obsolete ABC approach and placing treatment of life threatening hemorrhage before airway management in the treatment protocol. There are several other changes that update the curriculum and bring it more in line with TECC guidelines. If you’re a prehospital professional and need trauma CME or are interested in the new material, get in quick as space is limited. EMSPlumbline will offer the class throughout the year and I will be on board for some more dates.
