Tactical Emergency Medical Support for SWAT Operators is offered to SWAT/ERT teams. It adheres to the New York State curriculum for instruction as part of basic SWAT school. It is effectively a TECC class adapted to the SWAT operatior’s environment and equipment, and introduces individual operators to concepts of self aid/buddy aid in high threat situations. This class is tailored to the requesting agency, and offered over the mandated seven hour instructional block.
