Principles of Movement is a hands-on class that examines sound movement pattens, and applies them to the practice of safely and efficiently moving people and equipment. This is a physical class, and can be scaled to any fitness level–from students with injuries or disabilities through elite levels of fitness. Topics covered include:
- Sound lifting and moving mechanics
- Movement/patterning drills
- One, two, and three-person carries
- Improvised strap and harness use
- High threat extrication
- Agency/individual movement tools as requested, including
- Stretcher
- Immobilization devices: backboard, scoop, KED, Reeves, sked, etc.
- Tactical movement devices
